PP10002513 Engine Oil Filter Installation Method
Preparation for installation and dismantling of old parts
Before installing the PP10002513 engine oil filter, ensure that the vehicle is in a safe condition. Park the vehicle on a flat and hard surface, pull up the handbrake, shift the manual transmission to 1st gear, and the automatic transmission to P. If you need to raise the chassis, you can use the accompanying jack and place bricks under the tires to prevent sliding. The engine needs to be cooled for 30 minutes to 1 hour to avoid scalding of high-temperature components. Prepare tools such as oil filter wrench, oil pan, clean cloth, new engine oil, and funnel.
When disassembling the old filter, first locate the installation position at the bottom or side of the engine, and place the oil pan under the old filter. Use a filter wrench to rotate the old filter element counterclockwise until it becomes loose, then remove it by hand. If the filter element is stuck, a special tool can be used to gently rotate it to avoid damaging the mounting seat. After removing the old filter element, check if the sealing gasket is intact, and replace it promptly if it is damaged. At the same time, thoroughly clean the oil suction filter with clean diesel or specialized cleaning agents to ensure that there are no residual impurities.

New component installation and sealing treatment
Before installing the new PP10002513 filter, it is necessary to evenly apply a layer of new engine oil on the sealing ring to form an oil film to enhance sealing and prevent poor sealing caused by friction between the sealing ring and the mounting seat during installation. After application, screw the new filter element into the mounting seat in the correct direction and tighten it by hand until it fits snugly against the base. For vertically installed filter elements, before replacement, the filter element can be filled with engine oil through the oil delivery pipe to avoid internal air resistance and brief oil shortage during ignition; Horizontal installation directly connects to the oil pump without the need for prior oil injection.
Use a filter wrench to tighten appropriately according to the number of turns or standard torque (usually 20Nm) indicated on the housing. Being too loose can cause oil leakage, while being too tight may damage the filter element or mounting seat. After installation, check the sealing of the oil outlet to ensure that it cannot be turned by hand and does not leak oil.

Adding engine oil and final inspection
After installation, add a certain amount of new oil through the oil filling port and use a funnel to prevent oil overflow. After filling, check for leaks in the lower part of the engine and check if the oil dipstick reaches the filling line. Start the engine and let it idle for 2-3 minutes to fully circulate the oil. Subsequently, by observing and wiping, check whether there is any leakage at the installation joint of the filter. After confirming that there is no oil leakage, turn off the engine and let it stand for 3 minutes. Check the oil level again to ensure it is between the upper and lower limits of the dipstick. If the liquid level is insufficient, it needs to be replenished in a timely manner.
