Backwash wedge filter cartridge
Introduction to Backwash Wedge Filter Cartridge
The backwash wedge filter cartridge is an industrial filter element made by winding V-shaped (wedge-shaped) stainless steel wire and support bars. Its core structure is in the form of surface filtration, with gaps arranged in a strip shape. The surface of the filter element is smooth, the gaps are uniform, the accuracy can reach 0.01mm (10 microns), the maximum working temperature can reach 120 ℃, and the pressure resistance can reach 30MPa. Its unique design allows fluid to be filtered in both internal and external directions, and the wedge-shaped gap can efficiently remove impurities and restore filtration performance during backwashing. The material is mostly 316L/304 stainless steel or duplex steel, which combines corrosion resistance and mechanical strength, and is suitable for fluid filtration scenarios with high viscosity and high particle content.

Characteristics of Backwash Wedge Filter Cartridge
This filter element has three core advantages: firstly, it has strong anti clogging properties. The V-shaped profile makes it easier for particles to fall off during flushing, supports backwashing and online cleaning, and reduces manual maintenance frequency; Secondly, it has excellent mechanical performance, high welding strength between the support bar and the wedge wire, can withstand high pressure difference (up to 30MPa) and high temperature environment (≤ 120 ℃), and has a service life of up to ten years; Thirdly, it has high filtration efficiency, uniform gaps, and customizable precision (20 μ m to 3000 μ m). The water passage area is increased by more than 30% compared to traditional filter cartridges, and the pressure loss is low, making it suitable for high flow conditions. In addition, its modular design facilitates quick replacement and reduces downtime costs.

Backwash wedge filter cartridge usage range
This filter element is widely used in solid-liquid separation scenarios across multiple industries: in the petrochemical field, it is used for amine liquid pre filtration, rich and poor liquid filtration, and catalytic reaction gas purification; In the water treatment industry, it can treat sewage, coolant, and groundwater, intercept impurities such as sand and algae; In the field of food and medicine, it is suitable for beer clarification, syrup filtration, and drug purification, meeting hygiene requirements; In industrial manufacturing, it covers the purification of metallurgical blast furnace water systems, papermaking spray water filtration, and automotive lubrication systems. Its high pressure resistance and corrosion resistance make it the preferred component for extreme working conditions such as sand control in oil and gas wells and cooling water filtration in nuclear power plants.
